Ladle Castable

Ladle castable is made of bauxites, corundum and magnesia as raw materials, prepared by micro-powder technology and additive. The ladle castable can be divided into a working layer and a permanent layer, and different refractory material systems and construction methods are adopted depending on the difference between the bottom and the wall erosion mechanism.

Ladle castable is an unshaped refractory material made of high-alumina bauxite corundum and magnesia as the main materials, using composite micro-powder and adding some additives. Ladle castables are suitable for industrial furnaces such as ladles and tundishes.

Ladle Castable Advantages:

Ladle castable has high cold and hot strength, good wear resistance, thermal shock resistance, anti-stripping and good volume stability at high temperature. Castables for charge ladles are designed to endure the intense temperatures associated with molten metal. Their thermal stability ensures that they maintain their structural integrity and performance under extreme heat.

  • Easy use when construction
  • Convenient and efficient
  • High intensity
  • Completion period for construction will be shortened
  • Labor-saving

Ladle Castable Function:

Castables for charge ladles offer excellent resistance to molten metal and slag corrosion. This resistance protects the ladle from chemical attack and degradation, maintaining its performance and extending its service life. The ability to resist rapid temperature fluctuations without cracking or spalling is crucial for charge ladles, which experience frequent thermal cycles. High thermal shock resistance helps prevent premature wear and extends the life of the ladle lining.
